In Almaty, the reconstruction of streets with priority for pedestrians is on schedule

According to the governor of the megalopolis, the transfer of engineering networks was completed at the reconstructed sections, alignment of the threshold lines, laying of the ary trays, renovation of the facades of the buildings, bringing the input groups to the same style, and laying the granite pavers are being carried out. High-quality paving of pedestrian sidewalks with eco-friendly granite tiles, comfortable outdoor furniture, a variety of trees, coupled with the lack of cars, disorderly dominance of advertising and outdated off-screen facades of buildings will make the city center beautiful and comfortable for residents and visitors of Almaty.

On the street Kabanbai batyr on both sides within a few days, the laying of pavers at the section between Tulebaev and Ablai Khan streets will be completed. On the street Gogol the system of tap watering of green plantings is laid, the laying of pavers on the section between Kaldayakov and Zheltoksan will end in early September. On the square "Astana" the number of lanes of the carriageway is reduced with the increase of the pedestrian zone, the equipment of dry fountains is being erected, the pavers are being laid. The square will be opened in early September.

The complete readiness of all objects with new pavers, benches, small architectural forms, lighting, landscaping, dry fountains, recreation areas, playgrounds, bicycle paths is planned for mid-September to the City Day. It should be noted that the specialists decided to plant trees during the autumn planting season to ensure their maximum survival. It will not be saplings, but adult trees: birches, oaks, limes and aspens. In total, more than 330,000 m2 will be landscaped.

This year will be equipped with 472 new yard areas and two pedestrian zones in each district. By the end of the year, 102 unregulated pedestrian crossings will also be reconstructed with the organization of lighting at night.
