A new open athletics stadium has been built for the first time in the last 40 years in Almaty

"This stadium was built as part of the implementation of the program of the Head of State" Rukhani zhangyru "with the support of our investors who allocated 605 million tenge. The new stadium area of 39 thousand square meters. m. It is conveniently located behind the ice palace "Almaty Arena" and has all the necessary conditions for employment not only in 47 types of athletics discipline, but also in football.

There are running tracks for 100, 400 meters, an artificial football field, size 100x70, jumping high and long areas, as well as special zones with a natural grass cover for pushing the core, hammer throwing, disc and spear, with dimensions of 100x62 m. On the east side, modern assembly and dismounting stands for 300 seats are installed.

It also became known that in Medeu district near "Halyk Arena" it is planned to build an indoor athletics stadium with 5000 seats according to the most modern international standards.
