Within the framework of a three-year program for providing Almaty clinics with medical equipment, the material and technical base of medical institutions in the metropolis is being strengthened.

The modernization program was initiated by order of the city Akim, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev. In 2020, 43.1 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget to improve the material and technical equipment of medical organizations in Almaty.

These funds were used to purchase 285 ventilators, as well as 250 devices for high-flow oxygen therapy O2FLO, 1050 oxygen concentrators.

47 units of X-ray machines, 52 ultrasound machines were supplied to medical organizations subordinated to the Office of Public Health of Almaty.

Also, 6 oxygen stations were installed in the "Central City Clinical Hospital", "City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital named after I. Zhekenova ", Modular center, "Children's City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital ", " City Emergency Hospital ", " Center of Phthisiopulmonology ".

As part of the modernization in the City Clinical Hospital No. 4, a new multispiral computed tomography MSCT - Hitachi Supria, 128-slice was launched. Its advantage is the ability to scan the heart and coronary arteries to assess their patency in atherosclerotic plaque lesions, since these protocols require a short scan time.

Scanning time of one anatomical area on a 16-slice apparatus takes 12 to 35 seconds, and on a 128-slice - 8 times faster.
