30.8 billion tenge has been allocated to increase the salaries of teachers in Almaty
In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, teachers' salaries have been increased by 25% this year.
Overall, teachers' salaries will double in four years. The first increase occurred on January 1, 2020. This measure applies to school teachers, kindergarten teachers, colleges, the system of additional education.
Within the revised budget for 2021, 30.8 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget to increase the salaries of teachers in Almaty by 25%. The metropolis employs 32,000 teachers of state institutions - schools, colleges, kindergartens, boarding schools and out-of-school organizations.
In addition, there are surcharges for classroom guidance, notebook review, teaching excellence, master's degree, and mentoring. At the same time, the surcharges for master's degrees and mentoring did not exist before and they have been introduced for the first time, and the surcharges that existed previously for classroom guidance and review of notebooks have been doubled.
At the same time, the Akimat of Almaty provides funds to reward teachers for their successes achieved in the profession. For this purpose, on behalf of the Akim of the city B. Sagintayev, the competitions "Best teacher", "Best teaching staff" are held annually.
