"New Almaty": 42.8 km of roads built on the outskirts of Almaty

Earlier, the Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev stated at a briefing, that within the framework of the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the development of the outskirts of "New Almaty" 50 thousand residents of the neighborhood  outskirts will have access to central water supply and sewerage.

 

Today, during an online briefing at the site of the Regional Communications Service, the head of the Almaty City Planning and Urban Department, Almaskhan Akhmedzhanov, said that in order to ensure accessibility and comfortable conditions in the outskirts of the metropolis, comprehensive work is underway to develop transport and engineering infrastructure.

 

According to the Department, this year, almost 300 km of water supply and sewerage networks, 42.8 km of roads in the microdistricts of "New Almaty" were built, respectively. Improvement of four parks and five pedestrian zones is planned.

“This year the measures envisaged by the plan have been fully implemented. Next year, the implementation of projects for the development of outskirts will be ensured, ”A. Akhmedzhanov noted.
