Gasification of the private sector in Almaty makes up 99%

Answering journalists' questions during a briefing at the Central Communications Service, Almaty Akim Bakhytzhan Sagintayev spoke about gasification of the private sector.

Today, 99% of the city's residents are provided with gas. 1,848 houses remain unconnected, including 48 houses belonging to socially vulnerable groups of the population.

Of the 1646 houses that have the technical ability to connect, 529 houses are under construction. 202 houses have no connectivity due to the lack of external gas supply networks. These addresses were transferred to the Almaty production branch of JSC KazTransGas for inclusion in the work plan when forming the Investment program.

At the beginning of this year, together with Halyk Bank, we launched a concessional lending program for connecting to gas. An opportunity is provided to obtain an interest-free and unsecured loan of up to 300 thousand tenge for connection to gas for a period of up to 18 months.

Low-income families and families with many children, as well as those raising children with disabilities, are provided with social assistance to reimburse the costs for the conduction and installation of gas equipment in the amount of 100% of the costs. As of November 1, assistance was provided to 31 owners for 5.5 million tenge.
