In Almaty there has been launched a new airport runway

The installed German-designed light signal system meets the ICAO category III B requirements and will allow aircraft to be received in conditions of reduced visibility (horizontal visibility of at least 75 m, vertical visibility of 0 m), which will make the Almaty aerodrome practically all-weather.

"Previously, major carriers, with the impossibility of landing, lost up to $ 7.5 millions, receiving losses due to fog. At the moment, this problem is solved. In addition, in full readiness snow machines for maintaining the aerodrome, eight-meter snow blowers, anti-icing equipment for aircraft with a reserve of one million liters for 1.5 years and there are dry mixtures - reagents against icing strips. Our task is to improve the quality and improve all the service indicators.
