In Almaty after the reconstruction of engineering networks, the South-Eastern boiler house has been modernized

This summer in Almaty a lot of works were carried out for the reconstruction and construction of engineering networks for 761.3 km, incl. 313 km of water supply and 266 km of sewerage, 150 km of the power supply network and 32.3 km of the heat supply network.

The modernization of water supply and sewerage networks allowed to reduce a deterioration by 3%, accidents - by 4%, losses - by 5.2%. More than 11 thousand consumers have had an access to a centralized water supply.

The city's South-Eastern boiler house’s capital modernization ensured a reduction in hydraulic losses, and an increase in capacity from 168 to 208 Gcal / h increased the quality of heat supply to consumers and created the possibility to additionally connect about 40 multi-apartment houses.

"Since the establishment of the boiler house in 1979, this is the first large-scaled reconstruction. For works that were produced almost a year, 3 billions tenge were allocated. A hot water boiler, an instrumentation, an automation, an equipment in the building of chemical water treatment were replaced. Replacement of energy-intensive network pumps with frequency control will significantly economize electricity,"- said the head of the city energy department , Yermek Usenbayev.

Nowadays the South-East boiler-house serves more than 70 thousand flats and 700 legal entities, generating about 9% of the total heat of the city. At the same time, the boiler house is operated by gas, and only the temperature steam is released into the atmosphere.
