The first Almaty Kok-Tobe Opera-2016 Festival held in Almaty

The first open-air festival of classical music Almaty Kok-Tobe Opera-2016 was held in the Kok-Tobe Park in Almaty. The event was to celebrate the 1000-year Anniversary of Almaty; the residents and visitors of the city could enjoy the masterpieces of the world classical music there.

The Festival of classical music was held under the leadership of a conductor and an honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alan Buribayev; a symphony orchestra, a chorus, a ballet, leading soloists of the Abay Opera House, and visiting tenor Alejandro Roy (Spain) were among the guests of the Festival. The Festival was visited by City Mayor Bauyrzhan Baibek, too.

The soloists of the Almaty Theater and the foreign guest sang world famous arias to the accompaniment of the orchestra. Spectators could enjoy the singing of laureate of State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Kuzenbayev and honored artist of the state and honored artist of Uzbekistan Zhamilya Baspakova.
