More than 27 000 children will attend school for the first time in Almaty
Today in Almaty the August meeting of teaching staff and education workers of the city took place in the run-up to the new school year, in which the topic «Bilimdi el – mengilik el» was discussed.
The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Sagadiyev, the Mayor of the megalopolis Bauyrzhan Baibek, the heads of the departments, the Rectors of higher education institutions, teachers from educational organizations and others participated in this event.
Emphasizing the major directions of the state policy in the sphere of education, E. Sagadiyev pointed out that by the end of 2017 all the schools of Kazakhstan are to be equipped with electronic diary, that will allow teachers to quit filling in academic reporting papers in written form, thereby contributing significantly to them having more spare time.
“As it is well known, since 2016 the salary of teachers was increased and we go on working on this problem, but one has to understand that the quality of education should improve accordingly. Also, we have a big favor to school masters and parents boards not to make any fuss about school uniform and take time for its purchase during the first quarter of the school year ’ - the Minister said.
According to the facts mentioned by E.Sagadiyev, this summer 73 000 of primary school teachers attended advanced training courses with a new program. In addition, unitary basic text-books are ready and the schools of Almaty are fully provided with them.
The Mayor of megalopolis emphasized that for today all the schools of Almaty have the broadband access to the Internet and all first forms will be provided with the necessary interactive equipment. Schoolchildren of Almaty have been taken the first prizes in republican contests for 11 years in succession and they demonstrate the best results in passing the Common National Test.
“The index of success in the world today is not the quantity of minerals reserves, but the best educational systems and high-quality human potential. Our aim is the formation of educated, healthy, brought-up in patriotic spirit youth. This is the major aim set by the Head of the state”, - B.Baibek added.
In conclusion of the event the Mayor of Almaty presented the winners of the city contest “The best organization of comprehensive secondary education” with the certificates and 11 of the best teaching staffs of city schools – with prizes.
For information: This year the budget of the sphere of education of Almaty is 83,5 billion KZT. There are 498 pre-school establishments attended by more than 57000 children, 244 state and private schools attended by more than 210000 pupils. In September 27 811 children will go to school as the first-form pupils.
