Subject: 120 young families received the keys from their new apartments in Almaty within the State program "Affordable Housing"

Today a solemn ceremony was held in Almaty, where 120 families received the keys from their new apartments located in the "Sayaly" micro-district of the Alatau district. The new owners of the apartments are the applicants in the "Young Family" Program.

When presenting the keys and documents from the apartments, Deputy Mayor of Almaty Sultanbek Makezhanov said that thanks to the support of the President the state the governmental programs are implemented successfully in the metropolis, including those aimed at the construction of housing.

"This year 3 thousand apartments have already been built and they will be distributed among those who had been waiting for them. This means that this year 12% of 25 thousand citizens in the waiting list will receive their new apartments. The houses have been built within the "Affordable Housing" State program. In general, within this Program 65 houses for 15.3 billion KZT have been completed in the "Sayaly" district. We will put into operation another 3 houses before the end of the year”, S.Makezhanov said.

He reminded that in the framework of the implementation of the State program "Nurly Zhol” 12 houses - 760 apartments have been built in the "Zhas Kanat" micro-district. In addition, this year next 13 houses with 834 apartments each will be built in the "Sayaly" and “Zhas Kanat" micro-districts.

"Thanks to the decision of the Head of state, extra 56.1 billion KZT are allocated for building the affordable housing (4 400 apartments) with the creation of 10 thousand jobs. About 1 700 apartments are planned for the citizens through the Kazakhstan mortgage company in the Athletic Village after the end of the Winter Universiade - 2017", the Deputy Mayor of the city added.

In general, next year it is planned to give apartments to 6 000 families more, or 24% of the total number of citizens in the waiting list.
