During the meeting with the team of the clinic, the head of the city noted that Almaty was the first among the cities of Central Asia to enter the network of the World Health Organization "Healthy Cities" and has great potential for the development of medical tourism. Only in 2017 more than 2 thousand foreign citizens and almost 270 thousand people from other regions of the country received medical services. In turn, this brought to the city budget more than 240 millions tenge.
According to him, it is also important not only to improve the quality of medical services provided, but also to ensure the development of the healthcare sector with the introduction of new technologies. The main attention should be paid to the prevention of diseases. This, in the first place, the development of early diagnosis and a healthy lifestyle.

"In fact, health begins with the city's ecosystem, so we pay special attention to the issues of ecology and the concept of" Cities for people ", we focus on the creation of pedestrian zones, the development of parks and squares, the introduction of eco-friendly public transport, the reconstruction of Almaty courts and the construction of children's and sports sites. Today, the CHP-1 is being modernized and a preliminary feasibility study on the transfer to gas of CHPP-2 is being developed. By the end of the year, the full gasification of the private sector should be ensured," said Bauyrzhan Baibek.
It should be noted that for the last 2 years the level of equipment of medical organizations reached 75%, which allowed to improve the quality of services, accuracy of diagnosis and early detection of diseases at an early stage. As part of the digitalization of the city's healthcare system, it is planned to introduce an e-passport of the patient's health, decentralization using at least 35 mobile modular complexes, and providing high-quality medical care using Smart technologies.
In turn, thanks to modern technology in the new clinic "Keruen-Medicus" there is an opportunity in real time to conduct complex operations in 3D format. In addition, agreements on cooperation and training with the Korean clinic Severance Hospital and the German Freiburg University Klinik have been signed.
"I want to say that the development of medicine in Kazakhstan is a special model that is in no way inferior to Europe or America. Today I have already gotten around the clinic and from the very beginning - registration, when a special electronic map is created it is possible to trace the convenience and modernity of the center. There are great opportunities for diagnosis and therapy. Therefore, I am sure that this clinic will be an example for all other hospitals in Kazakhstan," emphasized a professor, an university clinic’s dean Freiburg Hubert Blum.
