The governor of Almaty met with President of Medical Excellence Japan

In the framework of the previously concluded memorandum on cooperation, it is planned that the Kazakh-Japanese medical diagnostic center will be equipped with the most advanced technologies, and an in-creased condition for the project will be the improvement of the skills of local specialists.

"Today we are attracting Japanese companies, their investments and technologies, Because they are advanced in many areas and often have no analogues in the world. It is important for us that this center succeeds in providing high-quality and affordable services for Almaty residents and residents of the region as a whole," the head of the city said.

In turn, President of Medical Excellence Japan Shuzo Yamamoto told that Almaty was defined as the starting and most comfortable platform for exporting the achievements of Japanese medicine in the countries of Central Asia.

At the moment, the question of the financial model and the location of the center is being worked out.

"In Japan, we calculated that passing an annual diagnosis for a patient is much more beneficial than treating a disease. We want to introduce this understanding in Almaty. In the near future we will conduct an analysis of statistical data on the incidence of the Almaty population, on the basis of which we will be able to model the concept of the center," said President of Medical Excellence Japan Shuzo Yamamoto.

In general, in the next three years, a number of large medical facilities are planned to be built in the city, including a new oncology center, a maternity hospital and Mount Sinai International Hospital.

It should be noted that for the last 2 years the level of equipment of medical organizations in Almaty has reached 75%. As part of the digitalization of the city's healthcare system, it is planned to introduce an e-passport of the patient's health, decentralization using at least 35 mobile modular complexes, and providing high-quality medical care using Smart technologies.
