The Mercedes-Benz bus on gas will be tested on the routes of Almaty

According to the company's representatives, the distinctive feature of this bus is that "Daimler AG" is the only concern in the world that creates original gas engines, while all the others use gas installations on diesel engines. The low-floor 12-meter bus is equipped with air conditioning, a ramp, glasses that do not allow infrared rays, it can accommodate more than 100 passengers, has a high level of smoothness and noise insulation.

"The majority of car fleet activities in Almaty did not invest in the development of the sphere, most of the funds were in the shadow sector, but today there are transparent mechanisms that allow bona fide companies to develop. Our citizens are ready to change to public transport, but only with the proper level of service. In turn, the buses of Mercedes-Benz are of high quality, that is why from the economic point of view the company has prospects," Bauyrzhan Baibek noted.

According to the representative of the official distributor of Daimler AG in Kazakhstan, Andrey Kunakh, the interest of the German manufacturer testifies to the attractiveness of the Almaty passenger transportation market.

"The company saw positive changes in the city, the market became more transparent, besides, the support rendered to carriers by the city administration is felt. I think that testing the Mercedes bus is the beginning of further fruitful cooperation," said Andrei Kunakh.

Within three months, the gas bus will run on Route 12, served by LLP Almatytelektrotrans, as well as on one of the routes of LLP "Green Bus Company".

"This manufacturer provides a longer warranty than other companies, and better service conditions. Now we will be able to test it in the conditions of Almaty and to make a definite decision on the results. Taking into account that the akimat is paying subsidies to carriers renewing the rolling stock, and gas subsidies are even higher, we consider Mercedes as one of the main options for further renewal of our fleet," said Baurdzhan Kulishev, director of "Green Bus Company" LLP.

It should be noted that buses have already been updated in Almaty on routes Nos. 12, 22, 50, 56, 65, 69, 70, 86, 95, 103, 112, 115, 124, 126, 127, 131, 137, , the route number 1 and the main route No. 201 have been launched. To complete the transport services connected to the city from the neighboring area of the villages, 10 routes were launched.
