Almaty’s highways authority will report for each dismantled curb

The head of the city once again drew the attention of the meeting participants to the need to ensure the quality of work in the optimal time with the creation of minimal inconveniences for the townspeople. Already, all contracting organizations have purchased specially designed fences. At each facility a passport will be installed with the contacts of the director of the contracting company, the organization that carries out the technical supervision and the deadline for completing the work.

As reported by the head of the Office of Passenger Transport and Highways of the city Maksut Isakhov, according to the results of defects in each street, the number of curbs in satisfactory condition is determined, which according to the acts will be transferred to the Nauryzbay and Alatau districts.

"For each street, where this year will be carried out repairs, we made a defective act. Dismantled curbs that can be reused, we pass on to further arrangement of sidewalks, ramps and replacement in other streets, where this year there is no repair. All relevant information will be posted on the public reception portal of the executive committee of Open Almaty," he said.

On the instructions of the head of the megapolis, the district executive committees will conduct a survey of sidewalks for illegal seizure by various outbuildings that impede pedestrian traffic. To prevent spontaneous parking and improve the safety of pedestrians, it is planned to narrow the arrivals from the streets and appropriate arrangement of sidewalks.

Recall that in 2018, Almaty plans to repair 157 streets, a length of 155 km, as well as the dismantling of tramways on the streets of Makatayev, Baytursynov and Zharokov. When repairing the roadway, the sidewalks will be arranged, the irrigation ditches will be replaced, dismantling of unused structures, landscaping, while the parking pockets will be only longitudinal. It is worth noting that when carrying out medium repairs of the street-road network, the contractor is given a three-year warranty on the work performed. During this period, the organization at its own expense is obliged to correct any identified shortcomings and violations.
