"Comfortable conditions for pedestrians should not only be in the center of the city. According to the principle of polycentricity in all districts this year, it is planned to update the yards, repair roads and streets, expand the zone of green spaces. A separate work is being done to identify illegal buildings that have seized pedestrian sidewalks," Bauyrzhan Baibek said during the detour.

In the area, two underground passages will be overhauled and nine streets will be renovated. In the park "Children's" east of the street of Erzhanov and south of Tynyshbaev street, it is planned to expand the children's and sports grounds, increase the stock of green spaces and install a watering system. In addition, the possibility of creating a pedestrian zone along Sauranbaev Street is being considered.

During the visit to the Almaty-1 railway station, the head of the city was informed about the planned works for the renovation and overhaul of the station and the expansion of the aprons. Bauyrzhan Baibek instructed the city services to revise the scheme of organization of traffic in front of the station for the convenience of pedestrian movement, as well as to improve the park on the railway station square and the streets adjacent to it.
