Bauyrzhan Baibek ordered to repair the bus station "Sayran" and give it the status of a historical monument
Today the station area is largely built up, and the interior cladding elements and the facade of the ground floor of the building are partially lost, thereby endangering the loss of architectural integrity. During the visit to the bus station "Sayran" Bauyrzhan Baibek instructed in accordance with the legislation to work out the issue of making the object on the list of historical and cultural monuments of local importance.
"As part of the reconstruction of the city started last year, we are returning the historical appearance of Almaty. First of all, it is necessary to bring the building to its original appearance. With the involvement of experts, it is necessary to completely re-examine the logistics of passenger flows. That is, we are rebuilding the historic building, but with new approaches to the organization of the operational activities of the entire station, which should become the transport hub of the city,"said Bauyrzhan Baibek.
Today, work has already begun to dismantle illegal buildings on the territory of the bus station. Entrepreneurs who carried out trade on the territory of the bus station will be offered places on preferential terms in the shopping centers and markets of the district.
The general director of LLP "Sayran" Kulyash Mukuzhanova also complained about the decrease in passenger traffic associated with the illegal activities of unknown persons.
"On the territory of the shopping complex" Ush-Konyr "in Almaty region, a paid parking is organized, where bus drivers are forced to call in by threats and blackmail. This creates inconvenience for passengers, as they have to travel to the city on their own, "K. Mukazhanova said.
During the work tour, Almaty’s governor also inspected the bus station for servicing the suburban routes Sayahat and its adjoining territory, where a spontaneous market was organized. The owners of the land plot undertook to start the appropriate works on the improvement of the territory and in the shortest possible time to provide a concrete plan for its further development.
