600 yards will be repaired in this year in Almaty

In this year there have been planned 157 streets repair works for 155 km and the demontage of tram railways along the streets of Makatayev,Baitursynov and Zharokov with its following improvement. Within the framework of following Almaty’s reconstruction there will be renewed and modernized the number of main avenues and the streets of the city, i.e. Abay, Ablai khan,Dostyk,Nazarbayev and the others.

During the visit of Gagarin street, the head of the city was informed about the 36 streets repair work’s ending in Bostandyk region till the end of the year and additional 11 bus stop complexes. There will be renewed the irrigation ditch net for 7.4 km. long. There are planned the overhaul repairs of 12 underground and aboveground pedestrian crossings. Taking into consideration the recommendations of the region’s residents, there will be improved and landscaped the «South» and «Friendship» parks.

In its turn, along the street of Gagarin there will be done the arrangement of sidewalk for pedestrians, the installation of irrigation ditches, the demontage of unused construction , the illegal buildings of public areas and the greening of streets.

Instead of it, if there were the major repairs of 30 yards’ territory in Bostandyk region, now this year would be the modernization of 130 yards.

«Actually, the city begins from our yards for us. Beginning the reconstruction of the same streets and the avenues, nowadays it would be incorrect to close our eyes for our Almaty’s yards condition. Concerning the epistle of the Head of the State and «Five social initiatives of the President» we have reviewed and found out the budget of the city by making it more socially- oriented, mostly directed to the definite projects and the results. If last year there were improved 455 yards’ area, but in this year there would already be additionally repaired 585 yards of all the regions of the city.», said Bauyrzhan Baibek.

It should be mentioned that before it,the governor of Almaty ordered to make the research of sidewalks for the object of illegal invasion by different constructions which have made difficult for passenger’s movement. For prevention of careless parking lot and for increasing of the pedestrian’s safety, it is planned to narrow the lap from the street and make a considerable improvement of the sidewalk.
