Day of Unity of Kazakhstan people is celebrated in Almaty

The governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek mentioned in his congratulatory speech that thanks to the policy of the Head of State, a recognized model of peace and harmony in the world was created, when the consolidation basis of the nation is up to the citizenship principle. "The unity holiday of Kazakhstan people reflects spiritually the centuries-old traditions of the Great Steppe - openness, friendliness, tolerance, hospitality. These traditions for centuries have formed the unique spirit of our city, filling it with a unique diversity. For a thousand years Almaty has been a place of different cultures, religions, languages contact. It is not occasional that Almaty is called a city of thousands colors. And today Almaty citizens of different nationalities and religions live side by side, work, raise children and celebrate holidays together. We must do everything to preserve and multiply this priceless heritage," said Bauyrzhan Baibek.

According to him, only open and friendly cities have chances for success in the modern global world, where competition is taking place for investment, innovation and human capital.

"By using modern standards into the urban environment, we want to turn Almaty into one of the best megalopolises in the world and a developed tourist center.
