Announcement of festive events for May 7-9 in Almaty

May 7 at 10-00 on the square Abay in front of the Palace of the Republic will be a solemn ceremony of sending conscripts to the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the event, demonstration performances of the assault and assault troops of the reconnaissance unit and a festive concert with the participation of the State Brass Band will take place.

Within the framework of the Day of Defender of the Motherland, national stage stars will perform on stage, including Nurat Suyinbek, Erbolat Kudaibergenov, Monique, Aizhan Nurmagambetova, and others.

At 10-45 on all video boards of the metropolis, a live broadcast of the Battle Parade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the military base "Otar" will be organized.

On the same day at 22-00 a festive salute will be held on Lake Sairan.

Within the framework of the festival dedicated to the festival "Uly dala oiyndary" a number of sports and mass events are planned in the megalopolis.

May 7 at 10-00 at the city racetrack there will be competitions on national kinds of equestrian sport.

May 8 at 19-00 on the territory of the sports complex "Sunkar" for the first time in Kazakhstan an open national tournament "Halyk Barysy" on the national struggle "Beldesu" will be held. This is one of the oldest types of national struggle, supported by UNESCO in the world network of non-Olympic sports. More than a thousand wrestlers from all regions of the country will take part in the tournament, and its prize pool will be 20 millions tenge.

May 9 at 11-00 in the park named after 28 Panfilov guardsmen there will be a ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Flame, dedicated to the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

"On this day, by tradition, the military field kitchen and the corresponding festive program will be organized. An exhibition of military equipment, a special photo zone and a wall of gratitude, live installations and theatrical productions are planned. In addition, of course, the favorite songs of the war years will be performed. Everyone will be able to take part and honor the memory of people who gave their lives for the sake of victory,"noted the head of the culture department of the city Khanzada Esenova.

At 12:00, from the square "Astana" will begin its march "Khakarman ult-immortal regiment". The route will pass along Tole bi street to Dostyk avenue, then along Dostyk to Kazybek bi, where 28 Panfilov guardsmen will enter the park from the side of Zenkov street to the Memorial of Glory.

On the same day at 20-00 on Astana Square a festive concert will be organized with the participation of Kazakh pop stars. Accompanied by the variety symphony orchestra under the leadership of the honored figure of the country Alexander Belyakov will sound the famous songs of the war years.

The day will end with a festive salute at 22:00 on the square "Astana".
