In Almaty, one of the most ancient types of national struggle has been revived

Opening the tournament, the governor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek mentioned that due to the realization of the presidential program "Ruhani zhangyru", special attention is paid today to the development of national sports. Increasingly popular among Kazakhstan people are the competitions for "Alaman Baige", "Kazak kuresi", "Audaryspak", "Jamby atu", "Kokpar".

Kanat Bozumbaev, the head of the Kazakh kuresy(wrestling) federation, added that the national struggle "Beldesu" will not only promote the patriotic education of the youth, but it will also open the new champions for the country. Participating in such championships, once famous legendary men were Kazhimukan and Baluan Sholak.

According to the ideological inspiration of the project "Halyk Barysy" Arman Shuraev, all people are allowed to participate in the tournamentall, including foreign athletes aged 18 to 50 years. Before the competition, all participants undergo medical inspection.

"Each duel lasts for five minutes. A defeat counts if one of the wrestlers has fallen to the ground or touched the ground with the knee, hand or other parts of the body. Seizing an opponent is allowed only above the belt. In the case of an equal account, an additional time of three minutes is given. If, after the added time, the winner has not been identified, then the participants undergo a weighing procedure. The victory is awarded to the wrestler with the least weight," he said.
