A Civil Funeral Ceremony for the Fallen Police Officers Has Been Held in Almaty

Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek took part in the civil funeral ceremony for the fallen police officers, Police Sergeant Major, policeman of the second police squadron Ayan Galiyev and former MIA of the RK officer, Police Lieutenant Colonel Gani Nurimanov. The ceremony was held at B. Shopak Sports Palace.

"Today is a sad day for us. We lay to rest Ayan Galiyev and Gani Nurimanov. Ayan entered the battle and was mortally wounded, but nevertheless, he spilled the blood of the attacker. He showed his professionalism and saved the life of his colleague. Gani, being retired, performed his call of duty. His colleagues say he was a responsible and respectable person. This is the case, when we can say that the profession is not just a job, but a vocation," -  the Mayor said.

Expressing condolences to the families of the victims, B. Baibek also stressed that based on the order of the President of the RK N.A. Nazarbayev, the victims’ relatives will be given every possible support. So, Almaty Administration allocates 15 million tenge to each of the families of the fallen police officers and 5 million tenge to each of the families of injured police officers. Also, the colleagues of the victims, police officers from all over Kazakhstan, transfer their single day earnings to the families of the victims.

"Parents have raised decent sons who will remain an example of wisdom and patriotism for everybody. You brought up the heroes, who will stay in our hearts forever. Being the police officer means to risk life. I’m sure, everyone understands this. The President expresses condolences to the families of all fallen police officers. Nobody will be left without support. All families will receive material assistance,"  -  the Mayor said.

It is worth noting that the 25-year-old Junior Police Sergeant of MPS DIA of Almaty Maksat Salimbayev will be also buried today in Karakastek village, Almaty region. Police Captain, senior inspector of SBDPP at UAP of the DIA of Almaty, 28-year-old Bauyrzhan Nurmakhanbetov will be buried in Korday village, Zhambyl region. 23-year-old employee of the Border Police of the Committee of National Security of the RK Azamat Azimzhanov will be buried on 20 July in the Pidzhim village in Panfilov district of Almaty region.
