In Almaty, on behalf of the Head of State, the veteran of the Great Patriotic War was congratulated on the 100th anniversary

As Adish ata himself says, he was born on May 9, 1918. In 1938 he entered the Kharkov Pharmaceutical Institute, and in 1941 he got to the South-Eastern Front in the 173rd infantry division.

Having survived the captivity in Bergedorf and the concentration camp in Neuengamm, Adish Abdraimov was able to return home only in 1947.

In 1952 he graduated from the Central Asian State University in Tashkent with a degree in biology. After studying, he worked as the head of the laboratory of the experimental station and brought out new varieties of cotton in the present-day Maktaaral district of the South Kazakhstan region.

Today, Adish ata has four children, three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

"I congratulate everyone on such an important holiday. I wish health, happiness and mutual understanding to all people on Earth. The most important thing is the peaceful sky above our heads, let everyone have a kind and happy life. Today, together with Elbasy our people live in friendship and mutual understanding. Let Kazakhstan flourish further and our children do not learn what war is," said Adish Abdraimov.

We remind you that today in Almaty, the Head of State, accompanied by the guard of honor, laid flowers to the eternal fire at the Glory Memorial and honored the memory of the heroes who died in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the war veterans and workers of the rear, among whom was also Adish Abdraimov.
