The governor of Almaty checked the process of transport construction and the city’s pedestrian infrastructure

Till the end of the month, the reconstruction of Gagarin Avenue from Al-Farabi to Timiryazev will be completed. In addition to the updated roadway, 3 km sidewalks for pedestrians have been built and irrigation networks have been done. Dismantling of unused structures and illegal buildings is being completed, after that the greening of the street is planned.

To ensure the safety of pedestrians along the avenue, sidewalks have been restored on the site of spontaneous parking. Taking into account the wishes of the citizens, the possibility of organizing a traffic intersection with traffic lights at the intersection of Gagarin and Kozhabekov is being considered.
