As the director of LLP "Almaty Mountain Resorts" Nail Nuro reported, today the resort project is optimized almost twice as compared to the original version.
"The area of construction is reduced by 10 times, from 300 to 30 thousand square meters. The number of ski runs from 77 to 18, most of which are aimed at beginners. The number of seats in the hotel has been reduced from 6,500 to 250 seats. Instead of two lakes for artificial snowmaking, there will be only one. In this regard, we have released a large amount of land - it is not less than 100 hectares of 1002 hectares previously allocated. It is possible that in future the area of liberated land will increase," Nail Nurov said.
The governor of the city instructed to immediately work out the issue on the return of the above-mentioned lands to the Ile-Alatau state natural park.
It should be noted that the updated feasibility study for the project will be completed this year. After that, it is planned to have a wide discussion with the public.
