The governor of Almaty congratulated law enforcement officers and civil servants with a professional holiday

During the solemn event the city’s governor Bauyrzhan Baibek rewarded the distinguished civil servants and guards with letters of thanks, noting that the professional holiday of law enforcement agencies is a tribute to all those who selflessly created the Kazakh police and work in its ranks.

"One of our main goals, proclaimed in the Almaty Development Program until 2020, is the creation of an urban environment where people will feel themselves as safe as in the leading cities of the world. And here, of course, the great responsibility lies with the law enforcement bodies," the governor said.

He also added that for the high-quality work of law enforcement officers the city’s executive committee is provided with comprehensive support of the metropolitan Department of Internal Affairs. So, material and technical support of policemen only for 2 years increased by 23%, reaching 87%. The ROVD in Nauryzbay district was built, the car fleet was renewed, the equipment is equipped with modern digital means. All this increases the efficiency and openness of employees in the protection of law and order.

Over the years of Independence, over 1100 Almaty employees were awarded with state awards, among them there are cavaliers of the Order of Glory and Valor "Dank" and "Aibyn", there are medals "Erligi Ushin" awarded for valor.

"Heroes-policemen are present here today. Thanks to you, many human lives are saved. Many thanks to you for your courage and dedication. I appeal to the relatives and friends of those employees who gave their lives, defending the law and fellow citizens. We share your pain, we do and we will do everything to make the memory of the heroes live forever!", Added B. Baibek.

In addition, in his speech, the head of the megapolis stressed the importance of creating an effective state apparatus, for which the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NA Nazarbayev, adopts the corresponding reforms. So, in recent years, systematic measures to improve the efficiency of the state apparatus have been adopted: a three-stage system of selection for the civil service has been introduced. Creation of Corps "A" provided an opportunity for transparent promotion of the most talented and successful managers. Legislatively fixed wages for employees based on the results, as well as regular upgrading of skills and professional skills.

It should be noted that, according to the results of the Republican contest "The Best Civil Servant of the Republic of Kazakhstan", four Almaty citizens were singled out among the best.
