Apartment, car, financial grants - the way teachers were congratulated in Almaty
On the eve of the professional holiday, the Akim of Almaty Bakhytzhan Sagintayev congratulated the teachers of the metropolis and presented valuable gifts and grants to the winners of the "Teacher of the Year" competition.
Veterans of pedagogical work, teachers and heads of educational organizations took part in the event, broadcasted live on the TV channel "Almaty" .
During the festive ceremony, honoring the teachers - winners of the city competitions "Teacher of the Year of Almaty" and the "Special Grant of the Akim of Almaty City", as well as the city tour of the republican competition, "Best Teacher" took place.
City contests "Teacher of the Year of Almaty" and the "Special Grant of the Akim of Almaty" were organized for the first time this year, at the initiative of the Akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev, in order to identify and support talented teachers, increase the prestige of the teaching profession, and share advanced teaching experience.
The winner of the Grand Prix of the City Competition "Teacher of the Year", became Makpal Chukeyeva, a teacher of school №133. She received the keys to a 2-bedroom apartment. And Dauren Sagynaliev, teacher of the gymnasium school №140, who won 1st place, received the keys to a new car. The rest of the winners were awarded cash prizes and grants. A number of teachers received departmental awards from the Ministry of Education and Science.
Congratulating the pedagogical community of the city, the Akim of Almaty B. Sagintayev emphasized that teachers fulfill the noblest mission on earth - the upbringing and training of the younger generation.
“Teachers have a huge responsibility for what kind of generation will live and work in our country in the near future. Therefore, it is the Teacher who is the key figure in education, ”said the city Akim Bakhytzhan Sagintayev.
The Akim of the city also reported on measures to develop the education system, build new educational institutions, and support young professionals. In particular, the practice of paying one-time financial assistance to young teachers who have started their career in the city's schools this year will continue. Already, in October, 549 young teachers will receive payments totaling over 27 million tenge.
At the same time, special attention is paid to the issue of improving the living conditions of our teachers. Today, within the framework of the adopted city program of concessional lending "Almaty Zhastary 3.0", 187 young teachers have purchased housing.
