In 2018, 6735 graduates took part in a single national testing, of which 3999 in Kazakh, 2731 in Russian and 5 in English. The number of participants increased by 802 people compared to last year. The creative examination was chosen by 379 graduates.

The average score for the city was - 101.2, which is 3.7 points higher than last year. 55% of graduates scored from 100 and above, which is 7% more than in the previous year. 130-140 points were scored by 314 Almaty alumni.

The maximum 140 points was won by the graduate of school-gymnasium №123 Shiara Kudaibergenova. Daulet Hamzin from school-gymnasium No. 162 and Aigerim Ibagaliyeva from the secondary school No. 104 received 139 points. 137 and 138 points scored another 14 people.

It should be noted that for 13 years schoolchildren of Almaty occupy the first team place in the republican Olympiad. In 16 times they win in republican scientific competitions and for the fifth time at the Presidential Olympiad among pupils of 11 classes in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. In the first republican junior Olympiad in 2018 in the subjects of natural-mathematical direction, the city team also won first place.

This year all schools were equipped with physics, chemistry, biology and linguistic-multimedia complexes. 100% of schools are connected to broadband Internet. In order to implement the State program "Digital Kazakhstan" in the forthcoming academic year, it is planned to open a specialized IT lyceum and IT classes in 80 schools of the city. Currently, multimedia triples are purchased in all educational rooms of the city's schools.
