Due to the budget savings in Almaty, roads will be built additionally and the lighting lines will be repaired

For the first half of this year, in all sectors of the economy of Almaty, there is an increase of 103.8%. Thus, retail trade grew by 8.3%, the industry by 4.4%, construction by 4.7%, and the growth of foreign investment in five months amounted to 25.1%. 110.3% increase in tax revenues to the state budget was provided.

While clarifying the budget, due to the saved funds, the costs of solving social issues, such as repair of outdoor lighting lines, sidewalks, construction of roads in new microdistricts, increased security and support for persons with disabilities were taken into account.

For example, in several districts of the city it is planned to carry out current repair of outdoor lighting lines, work will begin on the construction of roads in the micro-districts Akbulak, Algabas, Karasu, Kok-Kainar, Ulzhan-2 Alatau district and the construction of the road in m. Zhas-Kanat of the Turksib district.

In order to support persons with disabilities, they will purchase typhoid equipment for 675 people and surdotechnic funds for 871 people.

In the framework of "Productive employment and support of mass entrepreneurship" about a thousand unemployed people will undergo short-term vocational training and retraining in 50 specialties.

In addition, 193.5 millions tenge is additionally provided for the purchase of textbook kits for general schools. In order to improve safety, work will begin on seismic strengthening of the buildings of seven schools.

It should be reminded that the Almaty budget structured with an emphasis on the priorities of the Almaty 2020 development program and the social needs of citizens this year is 526.7 billions tenge.
