In the meeting with the residents of B.Maylin street and Suyunbay avenue, Bauyrzhan Baibek told that 524 streets and 800 kilometers of engineering networks were repaired within the framework of the city infrastructure modernization. At the end of the year, the number of new buses will be up to 80%.

"Almaty is not only the center of the city. A comfortable and safe environment should be done in all parts of the city - this is an absolute priority for us. All underground passages capital repairs are already being completed, video cameras are being installed. For three years, almost 1400 yards of 700 thousand people have been equipped . The next years we will repair all the yards of Almaty, "the governor of the city said.

For children's sports comfortable conditions, new sports grounds, simulators and playgrounds have been done in the renewed yards. The area of plantings has been increased, new benches and urns have been installed, asphalt and rubber coverings have been arranged. In the framework of the "Safe City" direction, lighting supports have been updated. In a number of yards in the pilot mode, they work from solar energy.

Until the end of the year, the facades, roofs and entrances in 174 houses will be renovated to modernize the housing and communal services, and 226 elevators will be replaced.

The reconstruction of the historic center of the city continues. If last year Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbay batyr, Tolebayev, Bayseitova streets and Astana Square were modernized , this year the repair is being done in Abay, Abylai khan, Dostyk, Nazarbayev, Zheltoksan streets, Almaty 2 station area and the square in front of the Palace of the Republic.
