A meeting of interdepartmental commissions on the prevention of offenses and corruption was held in Aktobe

The issues of crime prevention were considered at a joint meeting of the interdepartmental commissions on crime prevention and anti-corruption. The meeting was chaired by the head of the region Ondasyn Urazalin, with the participation of heads of law enforcement and state bodies.
In particular, the issue of prevention of offenses in entertainment establishments was considered. According to the first deputy head of the police department Kanat Aliyev, the introduction of lockdown over the past two years has reduced the number of offenses in entertainment establishments by 3.9 times.
"The analysis showed that the largest number of crimes occurred in the regional center. In just 8 months of 2021, 82 offenses were registered in the entertainment establishments of the region and in the territories adjacent to them," K. Aliyev said.
In order to further prevent the need for equipping entertainment establishments with high-resolution video surveillance cameras, high-quality lighting of the adjacent territories at night, etc., was noted. At the same time, the members of the commission stressed the need to take concrete measures to streamline the work of alcohol markets, some of which, violating the laws, operate as bars and liquor stores.
In addition, during the meeting, measures for the prevention of corruption offenses taken in the Department of energy and Housing and Communal services, the health department, and the Department of the penal enforcement system were considered.
At the end of the meeting, the Akim of the region gave a task to take all necessary measures to minimize crime in the region, prevent corruption, strengthen security measures in secondary schools and improve the material and technical base of institutions of the penal system.
