THE STATE OF TURKIC TERMINOLOGY IN THE PERIOD OF GLOBALIZATION WAS DISCUSSED

By order of the Committee on language policy of the Ministry of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Scientific and practical Center "til-Kazyna" named after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov held an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Turkic terminology in the period of globalization" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of A. Kaydar and R. Syzdyk in Astana.
The scientific meeting began with the opening speech of the chairman of the Committee on language policy Yerbol Tleshov. He noted that the creation of a consistent term base of Turkic languages began more than a hundred years ago, and this issue is important and relevant today.
The first report of the meeting was made by the Vice-President for science of the International Society "Kazakh Tili", academician of the National Academy of Sciences Sherubay Kurmanbayevich. He focused on the issues of inter-linguistic unification of Turkic terminology.
Professor Naji Gench, a representative of the rector of the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, shared his methods of developing a dictionary of technical terms. He argued that the introduction of the fixed term into use should begin with school textbooks and animated films for children.
At the International Conference, doctor of philology, Professor Sayaly Sadykova (Azerbaijan), doctor of philology Muradkasym Abdiyev (Uzbekistan), doctor of philology Hussein Yildiz and Doctor of philology, associate professor Abdulkadir Ozturk (Turkey), doctor of philology Gulnaz Yagafarova (Ufa), candidate of philology Olga Galimova (Tatarstan), professor Ismail Kadyrov (Kyrgyzstan) and domestic scientists made a report on the development and current processes of term formation in Turkic languages.
The meeting was attended by domestic and foreign scientists, Turkologists, terminologists, members of the Republican terminology Commission, teachers of higher educational institutions, doctoral students and undergraduates, school teachers, employees of local executive bodies of central state bodies, linguists.
