A regional seminar on onomastics was held

On August 28, 2024, in Aktobe, Aktobe region, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Akimat of Aktobe region, organized a regional seminar "Onomastics: a turn to National knowledge". The purpose of the event is to discuss topical issues in the field of onomastics and develop proposals for improving the activities of the regions in this area. Deputy akim of the region Zh. The seminar also discussed the issues of conducting research on indigenous historical names of settlements, as well as measures aimed at conducting explanatory work among the population. The seminar was attended by members of the Republican Onomastic Commission, heads of departments heading the onomastic industry in the regions, deputy akims of Aktobe region districts.
