Today, the Department for the Development of Languages of the Aktobe region is holding an interregional event "Onomastics: a turn to national knowledge" in order to discuss, discuss topical issues of organizing work in the field of onomastics.

During the event, along with the upcoming work plan, a number of topical issues are considered, such as the analysis of ideologically outdated, duplicate names in the industry, identification of names of objects in settlements, compliance with the legislative procedure for submitting proposals to the regional onomastic commission and criteria for naming.

Onomastics is one of the priorities that makes a great contribution to the strengthening of statehood. The field of onomastics, reflecting the national character of the state, has not only socio-political, but also scientific, practical, cultural and historical significance.
