Under this name, at the initiative of the Department for the Development of languages of the Aktobe region, members of the public organization "Bolashak Zholy" conducted a survey among residents, BAQ correspondent reports.KZ in Aktobe region.

We conducted a survey in the centers of the city of Aktobe and regional districts. The main purpose of the survey is to raise the status of the Kazakh language, conduct propaganda activities in the direction of free Kazakhization of citizens and citizens of the country. Schoolchildren, students, workers and the elderly took part in the survey, a total of 487 people of various categories were interviewed, says the chairman of the public organization "Bolashak Zholy" Nursultan Kaldybai.

During the survey, representatives of the organization acquainted residents with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the free Kazakhization of Citizens, called for abandoning Russian endings and supporting the widespread use of the Kazakh language in society. He also listened to suggestions from residents regarding the status of the language.

We still write our names in Russian to this day. In the past, suffixes like -ov, -ev, -ova, -eva were added to the surnames of our parents and remained in their documents. And it is better for modern youth to give up such connections. We, the sons of an independent country, must obey the laws that express our national face with the words "son" and "daughter". "When will we continue to hang the "ov" and "ova" around our necks like a yoke of poverty? - says N. Kaldybai.

It should be noted that, based on the legality of the Kazakh language, when Kazakhizing a person's surname, the roots of the citizen's surname and patronymic are preserved, and suffixes that are not peculiar to the Kazakh language are removed. Also, when writing the father's name, instead of suffixes that are not characteristic of the Kazakh language, the suffix "son" or "daughter" is added, depending on the gender of the person.
