The Department for the Development of Languages of the Aktobe region has been publishing the magazine "Onomastics of Tynys" since 2019.
Goal:
From an ideological point of view, to change outdated names to traditional ones close to historical and National cognition, to establish restrictions in the naming of people, in order to strengthen the patriotic spirit in society, to carry out the upcoming work on the assignment of names of individual (celebrated anniversaries) and historical figures, to inform about the ongoing work on unification, development of the field of onomastics in the region, to publish scientific research of scientists-researchers in the field of onomastics, reflecting the spirit and familiarization with the names, received a positive conclusion of the Republican Onomastic Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the region.
Internal structure
Editor's column: review of current news in the field of onomastics, answers to letters, questions received by the editorial office;
Onomastics of the city of Aktobe: publication about the changed names yesterday and today;
"The mountain of the native land is rooted in history": research by scientists on historical toponymy and toponymy, anthroponomics;
Proposal: to give methodological recommendations on the organization of onomastic work in the region, to publish the received proposals for renaming, naming unnamed components, renaming settlements of the city of Aktobe and districts
Names that have received a positive decision: publication of names that have received a positive conclusion of the Republican Onomastic Commission under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the regional onomastic commission for the region.
