Information message for the media
In accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3 of Article 28 of the Constitutional Law "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", information on the amount of payment, conditions and procedure for providing air and print space must be announced and published by the relevant mass media no later than five days before the start of the election campaign (no later than January 17, 2023).
The mass media may not provide airtime, print space for the placement, distribution of campaign materials of candidates before the publication of information on the amount of payment, conditions and procedure for the provision of air and print space. Violation of this norm of legislation according to Article 112 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan entails a fine of 30 MCI for officials, 50 MCI for legal entities.
According to the elections of akims of rural districts of Irgiz, Kargalinsky, Mugalzharsky, Shalkarsky districts, information on the amount of payment, conditions and procedure for providing air and printed space should be submitted to the Territorial Election Commissions of the districts.
