Today, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the birth of our fellow countryman, a famous poet, talented translator, publicist, journalist Utegenov Amantai Shamilovich, a memorial plaque was opened at the Zharsai secondary school. The event was attended by the director of the Aktobe regional branch of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the famous poet B.B.Uteuliev, the poet B. Kurmankulov, the wife of the poet O.M.Turgenev, children and grandchildren. The opening of the memorial plaque took place at an evening dedicated to the memory of the writer, classmates and friends of Amantai Shamilovich shared their memories of our dear brother, and young people read the poet's works. During the event, the prize-winners of the «Амантай Өтегенов оқулары» competition, organized for the first time this year, were awarded, as well as honors were awarded to the poet's wife Oryngul apa and Bauyrzhan Babazhanovich, who became the reason for organizing a charity event. Also, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Amantai Shamilovich this year, a regional poetic meeting was organized among akyns, for which a prize fund of 1 million tenge was determined from the regional budget. In addition, the regional creative competition «Амантай Өтегенов оқулары», which was held in the educational institutions of the region, will continue to be held traditionally in the future. The poet's legacy is eternal. "A good name will not die, a learned letter will not die" - this is it!
