In June 2020, there was a covid pandemic, although we have all been preparing for it since March, the pandemic passed unexpectedly and immediately affected many people. Hard times came and our entire medical team took the brunt of it. 20 beds of the provision hospital and 10 beds of the infectious diseases hospital were deployed. Patients came in one after another, many of them in serious condition. The doctors of the infectious and pharmacological departments were on the front line. A very large load was on the x-ray service. Up to 70 people underwent radiography per day. Medicines were sorely lacking, as were oxygen tanks. There was no specific treatment for covid. The administration of the KRB, headed by the chief physician Berik Zharzhanov, organized work to conduct oxygen to each ward, plastic tubes were placed to each bed, through which the necessary oxygen was supplied. The hospital itself purchased the necessary medicines. In this difficult time, the unity of our people helped, sponsors purchased 18 oxygen concentrators, antibiotics. Thanks to all these efforts, we survived the pandemic with the least loss. Kargalinskaya RB drew certain conclusions from this situation. An additional application for 24 million tenge was submitted for the purchase of necessary medicines. The regional health service received 4 ventilators, 2 perfusors, 1 Infusomat, 1 bedside monitor. A contract was signed with "Prof Catering" LLP for the supply of 1000 oxygen cylinders. 55 pulse oximeters, 20 pyrometers, 90 disinfecting mats were purchased, and the necessary stock of PPE (personal protective equipment) is available.

I believe that the hospital is ready for the second wave of the pandemic, but despite this, I would like to emphasize that the most important thing is to prevent the disease better than to treat it. Wear masks, keep a social distance, wash your hands, and do not visit crowded places.
