East Kazakhstan region started reconstructing the hippodrome in Akzhar settlement

Tarbagatai district started reconstructing its hippodrome. A modern sports module will be built very soon there. This was announced by Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov on his Instagram.

As you know, the hippodrome in Akzhar settlement is quite popular among local residents and guests of the district. It is here that various sports events are held, including national sports such as kokpar and baiga.

But, the racetrack doesn’t work in the winter season. It was decided to correct this situation.

“This sports facility must be comfortable and widespread not only in summer, but also in winter. Here you can build a small sports center, where local residents can spend their leisure time in winter. In this regard, the project coordinators started adjusting the project, and they are also considering the possibility of building a warm pavilion,” said Danial Akhmetov.

To provide people with an opportunity to actively relax in Akzhar, it is enough to build a sports module, make an ice rink, make a ski track, equip slides for skiing, build a warm pavilion so that people can warm up, drink tea or change clothes.

“We are ready to allocate additional funds for these purposes. People need to spend their leisure time. And if city dwellers have such an opportunity, then rural dwellers do not. Leisure is needed in the countryside, especially in winter,” said Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov.
