Tarbagatai District Hospital prepares for possible second wave of COVID-19

Being ready of the hospital for a possible second wave was checked by Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov during his visit to Tarbagatai district.

“You don’t need to wait, whether there will be an autumn wave of coronavirus or not, you need to be ready for it now,” said Akim of East Kazakhstan region.

Fulfilling this instruction, 29 oxygen concentrators, 4 ventilators have already been purchased for the reserve of Tarbagatai district hospital, and it is planned to install an oxygen station. The hospital staff is equipped with the necessary protective equipment, as well as a map and an algorithm for treating patients in case of a repeated outbreak.

They know well here how quickly and unexpectedly the virus spreads. The arrival of one person in a taxi without a PCR test turned out to be more than 100 infected with COVID-19 for the district. Unfortunately, it is impossible to completely exclude such cases, but it is quite realistic to prepare in advance for such cases.
