The Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan arrived in East Kazakhstan region

The Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi arrived in Ust-Kamenogorsk city. During this visit, the Head of the Ministry of Healthcare got acquainted with the progress of reconstruction of the former building of the Emergency Hospital where the Pulmonology Department is expected to begin its work soon.

The Pulmonology Department, designed for 150 beds, will be supplied with modern medical equipment. Thus, each ward will have centralized access to oxygen. The diagnostic block will be equipped with mobile X-ray machines and computed tomography. A feature of the laboratory service of this hospital is the availability of PCR laboratory with a wide range of researches.

Due to the current epidemiological situation, this hospital, if necessary, can be used to hospitalize not only patients with acute respiratory disease and influenza and complications after them, but also patients with COVID-19 during a pandemic.

- It is very important for us to see that the regions are ready for a possible new wave of coronavirus infection. We saw that all necessary works are being actively carried out in East Kazakhstan region. A lot of efforts and modern technologies have been installed, - said the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoi.
