East Kazakhstan celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Constitution

Festive events, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Basic Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held across the country.

Let's remind that the first Constitution of sovereign Kazakhstan was adopted in 1993. The document was developed in the conditions of the most severe crisis the country occurred after the breakup of the Soviet Union. The constitution regulated the functioning of the main state agencies. In 1995, a nationwide referendum was held where the people of Kazakhstan approved the draft of the new Constitution. 89.14% of Kazakhstanis out of 8 million included in the lists voted for it. Changes and amendments were made to the document twice. In 2007, the Constitution confirmed a new form of governing - presidential-parliamentary.

For 25 years of the current Basic Law of Kazakhstan, there has been a big breakthrough in all sectors of development: economy, production, industry, agriculture, medicine and education.

Festive events were held in all cities and regions of East Kazakhstan on the occasion of the Constitution Day.

In the region, within the framework of the Basic Law Week, the regional Prosecutor's Office, the Chamber of Notaries, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Justice Department conducted online consultations on legal issues. 

In the field of culture, various online conversations, book exhibitions, history hours and electronic quizzes were held on the topics “Constitution as the guarantor of the future”, “Historic path of Kazakhstan to democratic Constitution”, “History of the Constitution - history of my country”.

For 10 large families of Beskaragai district, the 25th anniversary of the Basic Law of the country will be remembered as one of the happiest days, because they were given the keys to new apartments.

On the eve of the holiday, the youth of the region organized an online video challenge using a special hashtag.

1. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan State University held online round table “The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Unity, Stability and Prosperity”, attended by scientists, experts, representatives of courts, prosecutors and other state agencies, teachers and students of the university.

On the occasion of the Constitution Day, a creative education center “Station of Young Technicians” was opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk city. Also in the regional center, active residents of the city received the title “Honorary Citizen of Ust-Kamenogorsk city”.

For several days, young people of Shemonaikha district made a hike - climbing to Voroshilov peak, Ivanov’s ridge with the hoisting of the flag of the Republic.

Despite the global pandemic, there is a busy online program in the region today on this public holiday.

Citizens of the region can enjoy the concert “El tiregi, el bakyty - Ata Zan!” with two cameras shooting, 2D and 3D graphics and animation. On the central streets of Ust-Kamenogorsk, the citizens are handed out flags and books, dedicated to this significant day. Moreover, a new kindergarten for 100 places was opened in the regional center, built due to private investment. It is also planned to open secondary school No. 49. An online conference of the legal ring “Basic Law as the backbone of the country” took place in Semey.  

In general, all cities and districts of the region held festive online concerts with the participation of creative teams and ethnocultural associations.
