Akim of East Kazakhstan region offered businessmen new conditions on accommodating holiday-makers in resorts

Akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov made a working trip to the Lake Alakol and met with entrepreneurs on the opening of the summer season in compliance with sanitary epidemiological standards.

For today, there are 204 reported cases of the coronavirus infection in East Kazakhstan. An unfavorable situation is taking place in Urjar district. Currently, there are 14 patients with the CVI there. Additionally, the number of cases of the asymptomatic disease course is growing in the region and amounting to about 100. People in this category are a big threat to the massive spread of the COVID-19, because they do not even know about their disease. That is why certain sanitary and epidemiological requirements are introduced on the coast of Alakol.

In order to reduce the possibility of the infection spread, vacationers will be accepted only if there is a certificate of the results of PCR test and rapid testing for COVID-19 with an unexpired statute of limitations. In case of any symptoms while entering the coast, a mobile medical station will operate for vacationers where in exceptional cases testing will be possible on a paid basis and a certificate will be given. Hospitals in Urjar district, including in Kabanbai settlement, are ready to receive patients. There are 12 infectious beds and 2 ventilation machines.

- Now our main task is to preserve the health and lives of Kazakhstanis. You should not pursue commercial interests, but do everything in order to ensure the safety of people. All business facilities will begin their work only after receiving the certificate of readiness for the season”, said Danial Akhmetov.

According to the Chief State Health Inspector of the region Marat Ismailov, to date, no one entrepreneur has received this act.

Three monitoring groups inspected all 175 resorts for compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards. Currently, only 72 resorts have begun and continue preparatory work to meet the necessary requirements. The other 103 resorts have not been started this work. The monitoring groups will continue their work during the entire summer season. They also include active owners of resorts.

During the meeting, businessmen received answers to their questions, and noted the importance of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological measures.

At the numerous requests of entrepreneurs, Akim of East Kazakhstan proposed new conditions for accommodating holiday-makers and functioning of business facilities. Provided that from 13 to 23 June no cases of coronavirus infection are recorded on the shore of the lake, the owners of resorts will be allowed to accommodate in hotel rooms up to 75% of the design capacity. All business facilities will begin to work in full force from July 1, provided that a stable epidemiological situation remains on the coast.
