East Kazakhstan akimat discussed the project of opening service akimats

The meeting, chaired by Almaskhan Smatlayev, the First Deputy Akim of the region - monitor of the Shygys-Adaldyk Alany Project, took place in the regional akimat with the participation of the leadership of Anti-Corruption Department of East Kazakhstan region as well as all akims of cities and districts of the region to discuss the issues of the accelerated modernization and transition to a service akimat model.

The project of opening service akimats was launched in East Kazakhstan region last year. Currently, 19 akimats of East Kazakhstan region deliver services in a new format.

In his speech Zhiger Baidildin, the First Deputy Head of Anti-Corruption Service of East Kazakhstan region said that “As part of the Hearing State Concept, service akimats as well as service areas in the open-space format are being created, heads of government agencies are moving to the first floors, helplines, contact mailboxes, blogs, and pages on social networking sites are functioning.

He stressed that due to the activities of Service Akimats, local executive agencies are becoming more accessible and transparent for people, which helps increase the trust of citizens.

“This made it possible to concentrate specialists from various sectors in one place, to expand the accessibility of public services for citizens, as well as to increase the degree of openness and transparency of the activities of state agencies”, said the Head of the Shygys Adaldyk Alany Project Office Marzhan Bakhyt.

In general, we emphasize that the transition to a “service” model of government work is the new organizational culture of public officers and the creation of a comfortable environment for serving the population.

The main criteria of service akimats are the creation of comfortable conditions for citizens, such as comfortable halls, waiting areas, consultation areas, self-service corners, information stands, WI-FI network, comforts for people with disabilities.

Following the meeting, the First Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Almaskhan Smatlayev highlighted, “The leadership of the region pays special attention to the principles of openness and transparency of state authorities, the high-quality implementation of the Hearing State Concept and the creation of comfortable conditions for residents of the region is a priority for the regional akimat”.
