Dear compatriots!

A meeting of the Operational Headquarters took place today. Taking into account the situation in the country and in the region, it was decided to launch the next stage to ease the quarantine regime. I express my gratitude to the residents of our region for their patience and responsibility! I also would like to note the good efforts of workers of the medical and sanitary-epidemiological services of our region.

From the first days of the state of emergency, it was important for us to maintain the balance of our economy and the well-being of citizens while having the restrictive measures.

We will gradually continue to move forwards to remove all restrictions as well as to return to normal life. Although, as you know, our life, like the lives of millions of other people globally, will be changed a little. We all need to get used to and adapt to life in the new conditions. I think this will last until an effective vaccine against the coronavirus is developed by scientists.

For this reason, the quarantine regime remains in the region until June, 13. But since June, 3 all types of entrepreneurial and other activities except nightclubs and hookahs are reopened in all districts and cities, except Semey, in compliance with the mandatory sanitary and epidemiological safety standards.

It is allowed to open cinemas and theaters with filling no more than 50% of the design capacity. Catering facilities will also work with the same requirement, with a ban on holding organized public events. I want to clarify this point, as many people apply for weddings and ceremonies. I gave the order to akims of cities and districts, jointly with the sanitary-epidemiological services and representatives of SMEs working in the catering, to develop within a week a proposal for such events. Entrepreneurs and sanitary services should jointly develop an algorithm of work that would, with a high degree of probability, guarantee the safety and health of our citizens during family celebrations and funeral dinners.

I especially want to appeal to the residents of Semey city. At the end of last week, I visited our favorite city, met with entrepreneurs. Considering your suggestions and appeals of residents, we decided from June, 6 to reopen all types of entrepreneurial and other activities, with the exception of night clubs, hookahs. Facilities of wholesale and retail trade of non-food products, large shopping facilities and entertainment centers, with an area of ​​no more than 2000 square meters.

But, the situation with the coronavirus infection continues to be tense in the region. For this reason, I ask all of you to maintain prudence and caution. We do our best to preserve the life and health of our citizens. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
