Development work is continuing in Semey city

During a working trip to Semey city, Akim of the region Danial Akhmetov visited a number of facilities under construction and got acquainted with the progress of city improvement. In particular, he visited Boztayev and Selevin streets, where the dividing strips are being dismantled. During the reconstruction, the total area of ​​the road will become wider and more spacious. There will be new curbs, bus stations and benches.

The head of the region also got familiar with the reconstruction of the Abai Theater which are under reconstruction for the 175th anniversary of the thinker. Funds to repair the Abai Theater were allocated in September last year. It is currently undergoing the soft roof and façade repair, as well as reconstruction of steps and development work. The progress of the repair is tightly controlled by the regional leadership. There will also be changes inside the theater. The lobby and the auditorium will be transformed. For the anniversary of Abai, the theater artists will enter the updated stage. By the 175th anniversary of the great poet, the most significant events will take place in the Semey Theater.

Akim of East Kazakhstan region also visited the Zhidebai-Borili State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Reserve - Abai Museum. Now the halls of the museum are under restoration. The territory of the Abai Museum remains to be reconstructed. It is planned to replace paving slabs, arranging lawns and flower beds. The main update will be a monument to the thinker with his sons. Akim of the region visited the Abai Square, where he got acquainted with the ongoing restoration work.

All these objects will be open by August - on the Abai’s birthday.
