Quarantine announced in the territory of East Kazakhstan region

On April 18 at 00:00 a.m. a quarantine regime is to be imposed in the territory of East Kazakhstan region by the decision of the Regional Operational Headquarters. Entry and exit to the region will be limited until the end of the emergency period in the country.

During the quarantine period, some employers must send their employees to the remote mode with payment. Regional Operational Headquarters added to the list the enterprises obliged to suspend their activities.

It’s worth noting that during the implementation of restrictive measures in Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey, we helped business with issues of transport services. But as practice has shown, issued permits by individual entrepreneurs are not used for their intended purpose. In addition, I have reliable information that a part of the permits was issued for a fee.

At my request, the Anti-Corruption Department began an audit. They will take the necessary measures to stop unlawful acts by public servants who have abused their official positions when issuing permits.
