One fatality from the coronavirus infection registered in East Kazakhstan region

Unfortunately, a fatal outcome was registered in Ust-Kamenogorsk. On April 12, a woman born in 1979 was taken by the emergency ambulance service to the hospital in poor health with the 2-sided pneumonia, where, according to the algorithm, analyzes were taken for COVID-19. The result is positive. After receiving the results, the patient was transferred to the infectious hospital, to the intensive care unit. In addition to COVID-19, the patient had 2-sided vesicular bronchiolitis, left-sided pleurisy, respiratory failure of 3nd degree, toxic myocarditis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, severe alcohol intoxication. A team of resuscitators worked with the patient, the patient was connected to a ventilator, resuscitation measures were carried out. There was a cardiac arrest twice a night, twice successful resuscitation. However, with a repeated arrest of cardiac activity, resuscitation measures were unsuccessful, biological death was stated.

13 contact persons were identified, all of them are isolated. Enhanced epidemiological investigation is underway.
