Another case of COVID-19 confirmed in East Kazakhstan region

Currently, there are 3 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in East Kazakhstan region. In Semey city - 2, in Ust-Kamenogorsk city -1.

According to the Regional Healthcare Administration on April 1, a resident of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, born in 1938, came to the clinic when felt worse. Chest X-ray was taken, and pneumonia was diagnosed. After which, the ambulance delivered her to the hospital.

According to the algorithm for diagnosing patients with pneumonia, she was tested for COVID-19 in the hospital, the analysis turned out to be positive.

In January this year, this woman traveled to the Russian Federation. The patient's condition is stable, moderate.

All contacts with the patient are identified.

To date, 198 contacts have been identified. Relatives are placed under quarantine in the hospital under the supervision of health-care workers. They were tested, the results are negative. The nearest hospital contacts were tested. Of 4 patients from one bed ward, 3 have negative tests, and one is in progress.

The hospital where the patient received treatment is under quarantine.

Possible contacts are under home quarantine. Disinfection of all places of their stay is underway.

The situation is under the control of the responsible authorities.
